DISCLAIMER

Request for non-legal advice and legal referrals

We cannot help everyone who contacts us or assist with every case.  Non-legal advice and legal referrals is operated on a volunteer basis and we receive many more requests than we can feasibly help with in our time constraints.  We do not always have advice or referrals for every state beyond what exists on this website.  We will provide non-legal advice and legal referrals wherever possible.  Please allow one calendar week for a response; if you require assistance more urgently, please tell us and we will do our best to reply sooner.

If you are writing to us about a current CPS or family court matter, please include your CITY/COUNTY and STATE in your message to enable us to help you as quickly as possible.

Request for a speaker from FLCA to come talk to your conference, convention, rally, festival, school,  or other event

Our founders, Sara Arnold aka Sahra Kant and Jess Cochrane, are available individually or together for speaking engagement at your event by ourselves, in a workshop, on a panel, or any other format.  We appreciate as much notice as possible to ensure that we are able to attend your event.  Due to the cost of local or national travel and our organization being operated on a volunteer basis, please let us know if you are able to reimburse the cost of transport, lodging, or any other expenses.

Request from the media for quotes, interviews, appearances, or other information

Our founders, Sara Arnold aka Sahra Kant and Jess Cochrane, are available individually or together for quotes, interviews, appearances, or research assistance from the mainstream or alternative television, radio, print, or online media.  We appreciate as much notice as possible to ensure that we are able to meet your request.  Please let us know your deadline or date and time of your program.

However, we understand that offline and online journalism is run on a 24/7 cycle and that the nature of media often involves short deadlines.  If you require quick turnaround, please let us know and we will endeavor to accommodate you.

Request from legal professionals for assistance with a case

We assist family and criminal law attorneys wherever possible by providing research, non-legal organizational and legal referrals, affidavits or letters of support, assistance obtaining expert testimony, or other help on relevant cases pending or ongoing in state and federal courts wherever possible.  Please note that we generally cannot help everyone who contacts us or assist with every case but endeavor to answer every request from an attorney within four business days.  If you require a more urgent response, please let us know and we will do our best to respond accordingly.

If you represent parents and guardians in child protection or custody actions in your jurisdiction’s family court, visit our For Lawyers page to join our national network of practitioners.
