Our newest state profile is the sunshine state of Florida. Unsurprisingly, Florida has some of the harshest policies we’ve come across so far. These policies as well as the laws and regulations are extensive and complicated. We break it down for you to only what is relevant for a parent who uses cannabis or a child who is being treated with medical marijuana.
As always, we welcome your feedback! Please share this with your friends so all Floridians can benefit!
Please update! I have been researching legal medical marijuana use and minor children in the home in the State of Florida. I work in the Mental Health field and am interested to know how the adult legal patient is legally protected. Can they be violating a law if they use their medicinal marijuana in the home if children are also in the home(not necessarily the same room?)Can the Department of Children and Families take legal action against a parent/patient who is a legal medicinal user? What I have discovered is that a medicinal user, for the most part needs to partake in the privacy of their own home. This seems like it could be problematic if one has minor children as well. Thoughts.
